Frankston City Council engaged Infrastructure Works to improve night-time safety at the pedestrian crossing outside the Austin Road shops in Seaford, a busy local strip with steady foot traffic well into the evening. iWorks was brought in specifically to light the crossing itself, supplying and installing a single solar lighting unit at that location.
The team installed a solar-powered LED light on an Ezywinch pole, mounted on a concrete Kelly Block base. The Kelly Block meant the pole could go in without excavation or trenching, while the winch mechanism gives council a straightforward, ready-to-install solution that can be lowered for servicing without a crane or EWP.
